The Autism Trust UK & Polly's Place (SH)
We really need people who love being kind and want to help individuals with an autism spectrum diagnosis to reach their potential.
We need good learning support buddies who can be supportive, caring, patient and flexible. We need people who can encourage and support individuals on the spectrum, who have empathy, but can help to promote and support independent thinking on a one-to-one basis with a particular individual that needs help. Regular attendance is a must in this volunteer position so as to create trust and consistency.
You would be volunteering at the office in Camberley that is the 'hub' of The Autism Trust and the vocational training we provide.
Time commitment between Tuesday and Friday 9-4pm, specific times in accordance with times of attendance of the individual with and autism spectrum condition.
No experience required, develop you skills whilst supporting a young person. Dependent upon current skills/experience, training will be given.
