Dorking and District Talking Newspaper (CSVA)
A Reader is one of a team of three who read articles from the Dorking Advertiser that have been selected by an Editor.
The reading is recorded on to the computer and then copied onto memory sticks for distribution to the listeners who are either visually impaired or unable to hold a newspaper.
Although the recordings happen on a weekly basis, on average, each readerĀ is called upon about once every five weeks. Readers are asked to be at The United Reform Church 53 West St, Dorking RH4 1BS by 6.15 with the reading taking place from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm on a Thursday.
A good, clear speaking voice and ability to read with enthusiasm so that the listener is informed and entertained.
Age requirement 25+
Training would be provided.
