Vision 4 Youth (VSNS)

We are looking to make additions to our current team of volunteers -
volunteering any night of the week between Tuesday to Fridays. We run different
youth clubs each night, all of which are open term-time only at The Tythings
youth suite on the green in Yateley, Hampshire.
Commitment is just once or twice a month depending on your preference and the
role involves engaging with our young people, setting and clearing up, manning
the tuck shop and working with a great team of youth workers. The role is on a
rota basis so there is no weekly commitment.
Creative Club - Tuesdays 6:30-8:30pm, arts, crafts, cooking and other activities for age 11-18 year olds
Blue Sky Club - – Wednesdays 7-8pm, a traditional youth club for ages 11-18 who are neurodiverse, such as those on the autistic spectrum. They play indoor games such as pool and table tennis and refreshments are also on offer, however the space is set up slightly differently to accommodate specific needs that this group of young people may have. A quieter, calmer session enabling small group interaction with likeminded others
Thursday Club - Thursdays 6:30-8pm, a traditional youth club for those in school years 6, 7 & 8 (age 11-14). They play indoor games such as pool and table tennis, and we take them out on the floodlit courts for activities such as football and basketball
Friday Night Club – 7-9pm, a traditional drop-in youth club for those aged 11-18. Lively and fun with games, snacks and chill out space
Ability to interact with the young people and work well as a team. Sense of humour and willingness to have fun is key!
Volunteers must be 18+ but we're happy to accommodate uni students home for the holidays.

The club opening hours are listed above; volunteers usually arrive 15 minutes beforehand to help set up and stay around 15 minutes after closing to tidy away. Which night you volunteer for is entirely dependent upon your own availability and which club style you prefer.
