Youth Leader - Brownies

By volunteering with us, you can help girls build their confidence, have adventures, learn new skills and have loads of fun - no matter your experience, your background or how much time you have spare. 

Volunteering at unit meetings means getting messy, meeting new people and running activities that help girls discover their potential and build their confidence. Volunteering with us isn't just about campfires and helping girls to get their next badge - although those are special moments that we all share. It's about empowering girls and giving them new experiences. It's being a role model and sharing and developing your own skills too.

As Unit Leader, you'll work with a team of volunteers to plan and deliver a high-quality programme of awesome activities and events.

Responsibilities include:

• Complete the Girlguiding UK Leadership Qualification.
• Run regular unit meetings with a balanced and varied programme of activities.
• Provide a safe environment for the girls and others working with the unit.
  
• Liaise with and take a responsibility for the personal development of Young Leaders working with the unit.
• Attend meetings at a local level.
• Have fun.
  

What skills do I need?

Enjoy working with young people, be a team player, keen to try new things, with good communication skills, friendly and fun loving.

Full training will be given for any other skills required.
