Andy's Man Club
Do you feel passionate about supporting men with their mental health? We are opening a new Andy's Man Club group in Camberley early 2025 and need volunteers to help run the group.
ANDYSMANCLUB takes its name from Andrew Roberts, a man who sadly took his own life aged 23 in early 2016. Elaine Roberts and Luke Ambler are Andy’s Mum and Brother-in-Law, together they came up with the idea of ANDYSMANCLUB, a group where men aged 18 and above can speak openly about their mental health in a judgement-free, non-clinical environment. Groups now operate nationwide and are completely volunteer-led, with the vast majority of group facilitators having first interacted with ANDYSMANCLUB when they came through the door as a service user.
We look for men who have experienced life and have empathy for others and an understanding of mental health.
Commitment is running the club on a Monday evening with support.
Training is done online initially and volunteers would also attend the Woking group to see how the club runs.
Each club is well supported by the head office and there is a debrief at the end of each session to ensure all are ok.
