Become a Trustee – Ridgegate Residential Care Home

Are you passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable adults and older people? We are seeking committed and skilled individuals to join our Board of Trustees for a residential care home dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care and support.

We are particularly looking for trustees with experience in:

  • Finance & Accounting
  • Fundraising & Income Generation
  • Social Care / Health & Care Services
  • Legal & Contract Management

As a Trustee, you will help guide the strategic direction of the organisation, ensure strong governance, and support the sustainability and growth of our services.

Trustee Roles Available

Finance Trustee
Support financial oversight, budgeting, compliance, and long-term sustainability.

Fundraising Trustee
Help develop fundraising strategies, partnerships, grant opportunities, and community engagement.

Social Care Trustee
Provide insight into care standards, safeguarding, regulation, and person-centred services.

Legal & Contracts Trustee
Advise on contracts, governance, risk management, policies, and legal compliance.

Commitment

  • Attend regular board meetings (in person and/or virtual)
  • Provide strategic support and occasional guidance between meetings
  • Voluntary role with reasonable expenses reimbursed

Availability Details

The board meets 4 times per year to discuss the quarterly accounts, and update on operational and strategic matters. Interim meetings are held as required. The home’s registered manager communicates weekly regarding matters arising.
