Walton on Thames Charity (CSVA)
Walton Charity and PA Housing have set up a community allotment, where people from different sections of our local community all work together.
Whilst it is targeted at those who wouldn't normally get involved in growing food, everybody's welcome to take part in growing and gardening, learning and developing hands on skills, and sharing the harvest. Both amateur and experienced gardeners are welcome to attend and join in the fun.
General Volunteers and Volunteers are encouraged to participate in anything at their level, whether it's weeding, digging, watering, mowing or even making the tea and coffees.
Support Volunteers are needed to work alongside our more vulnerable gardeners.
You will need to be open and non-judgemental in your approach to others. Good people skills are more important than any gardening experience - but a bit of both is ideal.
