Dorking and District Talking Newspaper (CSVA)
Each week on a Thursday evening, a team of 3 Readers gather to read articles from the Dorking Advertiser. A recorder makes a digital recording and leaves the files on the computer ready for the Duplicator to copy onto the USB memory sticks.
The Duplicator copies the files onto the required number of memory sticks then places these in addressed yellow pouches. When finished, these are taken to the Post Office and put in the post box. The Duplicator is responsible for locking away the equipment and leaving the room tidy.
Although the activity happens each week, on average each Duplicator is called upon about once every five weeks and the hours will be from 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm
An understanding of, and competency with the handling of computer equipment and file saving / converting and copying to USB devices.
Training will be given.
Volunteers need to be over 25 years of age.
