Volunteer Group Workers (SH)

We need friendly Volunteer Group Helpers – Monday & Tuesday Parent & Baby Groups.

We are looking for friendly and reliable volunteers to support two of our welcoming parent and child groups:

Baby Beginnings (Monday mornings) – supporting parents from pregnancy through to baby’s first year Best Start in Life (BSIL) (Tuesday mornings) – supporting families with young children under five.

Both groups provide a safe, relaxed space where parents can build confidence, reduce isolation, and connect with others in their local community.

As a volunteer, you might help with:

Setting up and tidying away toys and activities Welcoming families and helping them feel at ease Making refreshments Supporting play and chatting with parents

No previous experience is needed – just a warm, non-judgemental approach and a willingness to support local families.

This is a lovely opportunity to be part of a supportive team and make a real difference to families during the early years. 

What skills do I need?

Good social skills.

Previous parenting experience or young person with family experience.

DBS check and references required.
