Mid Surrey Community Fridges (CSVA)
To collect food in our large van from Fareshare and/or local supermarkets and bring back to our warehouse for sorting and distribution. The van drivers travel with an assistant where possible to collect food that would otherwise go to waste. At Fareshare, the food is pallet loaded but at the supermarkets, the food is manually loaded by the driver and assistant so an element of physical strength and fitness is essential. This role is essential for us to be able to save food waste as distribute around the community.
Requires a driving licence and ability to drive a larger vehicle. Must be physically fit and able to lift 20kg (e.g. sack of potatoes).
