The Reigate and  Banstead  Community  Fund  (RBCF)  is  our  local  area  philanthropic  fund charged with providing financial support to local charities and good causes addressing areas of need and deprivation in the Borough of Reigate and Banstead, in the form of small grants. It has been in existence for six years and has so far granted over £85,000 to local charities.

RBCF is currently looking for new members to bolster its Panel Board. Whilst the role is similar to that of a Charity Trustee, the position does not involve the statutory responsibilities of being a Trustee. It is an unpaid, voluntary, position.

The CFRB Panel Board is responsible for:

  • Raising philanthropic donations to the Fund from local high net-worth individualsbusinesses, and members of the public
  • Deciding which local charitable organisations / projects to distribute grants to
  • Managing the strategic development and growth of the Fund

RBCF is an umbrella ‘area fund’ under the Community Foundation for Surrey.  It maintains and builds two pots of money;

  • Grants Fund – for immediate grant giving
  • Endowment Fund – An investment fund for future generations (currently standing at around £155,000) with investment income paid out as grants.
