Runnymede Foodbank Tesco Summer Collection 2026

Tesco is continuing to demonstrate it's support of Foodbanks by allowing this collection to proceed with volunteers manning the stores.  These collections are very important for us as they enable us to restock our warehouse shelves with the basic food items and particularly with the items that we are low on.

The dates for this collection are: Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th July 2026.  Please mark these dates on your calendar.

Once again, we have been very lucky and will be able to collect at all three stores: Tesco Extra in Ashford, Tesco Extra in Addlestone and Tesco Superstore in Egham.  This means that during this collection we have the opportunity to staff the foyer area in each of these stores on both days.

As in past years, we need to cover from 9am - 5pm each day in 4 x 2 hour shifts - and we will be able to staff them with up to 4-5 people (4 at Egham) at each session.  This means that there are 112 individual 'slots' across the 3 stores that we are hoping to fill.
Please have a look at your diary and see if you are able to support us by giving us just two hours from your week (or more if you are able to).  The scheduled sessions on each day are from:
      9am - 11am
    11am - 1pm
     1pm  - 3pm
     3pm  - 5pm

We typically have a large number of vacancies at Tesco Ashford, so please let me know if you are willing to volunteer there
