Surrey Minds Together is on a mission to make mental health support, education, and community connection accessible to everyone in Surrey. As we grow into a Community Interest Company (CIC), we’re looking for a passionate, media-savvy Social Media Manager to join our team.

We need someone who lives and breathes social media and has a strong understanding of mental health, and understand how to talk about mental health in a respectful, thoughtful and inclusive way. You’ll be responsible for planning and posting content across our platforms to:

• Promote workshops, training, and community events
• Raise awareness and reduce stigma around mental health
• Tap into national awareness days and trending topics
• Keep our community informed, empowered, and connected

You’ll be creating and sharing content for:
Instagram & Facebook (our main hubs)
LinkedIn (for professional updates and partnership building)
TikTok (for creative, fun, and educational outreach)

What skills do I need?

• A strong understanding of mental health language, ethics, and sensitivity
• Excellent awareness of national campaigns (like Time to Talk, Mental Health Awareness Week, etc.)
• The ability to write engaging, accessible, and respectful content
• Skills in content creation, scheduling, and analytics (Canva, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
• A proactive mindset to stay up to date with the news and adapt content accordingly
