We are an emergency wildlife hospital and a registered wildlife charity that works 24/7, 365 days a year. We rescue, rehabilitate and release our native wildlife. From tiny dormice to the majestic deer and everything in between. Our patients don’t like you and are scared of you and that why we have to work as a close team to minimise the stress to them. Wildlife always comes first on our site.

You must  have your own transport  and be over 18.

Age is no barrier - we have volunteers ranging for 18  to 85, with all levels of experience and background.

The roles are very varied, you do not need to be a wildlife expert, in some ways that may help but you do need to be someone who cares about wildlife and is willing to make a regular  commitment to our team.

We have a wide range of procedures that need to be carried out every day so we ask for commitment at least one morning and/or one afternoon a week on a regular day or you can commit to a full day, or a full week but commitment is important as we will be relying on you.

We ask you to participate in any training and help enthusiastically.

What skills do I need?

An interest in wildlife is useful for this position.

Have own transport to reach the shelter (quite remote).

Be punctual and reliable.  Arrive on time and commit to the work

Carry out your work eagerly and accept our guidance, decisions and changes, we have been doing this a long time and putting wildlife first means changes can be fast and furious but most importantly essential.
