Children’s Service Volunteer -Male (CSVA)

Could you be a positive male role model to the children resident in our refuge? 

We are looking for a volunteer to provide play sessions on a weekly or ad hoc basis. 

The sessions could include board games, playing in the garden, building dens and so on.

There's also the opportunity to help upcycle our outside playhouse!

What skills do I need?

We are looking for someone with:

• An interest in working with children.
• A friendly, patient and approachable manner.
• Creativity with a sense of fun and enthusiasm.
• The ability to build good relationships.
• Good listening skills.
• Ability to remain calm, deal with potentially stressful situations and to successfully respond to conflict if it arises.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• To understand and respect confidentiality with an understanding of safeguarding issues.
• A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusivity and the impact of this on our service.
• To support the aims and principles of your Sanctuary.
