Dementia Activities Group (SH)
We need friendly people with a positive attitude to dementia to help at our bi-weekly meetings at Camberley library. These are held at 1pm-2:30pm upstairs in the meeting room.
Volunteers would help to welcome people and make refreshments, to chat with both carers and the people with dementia. There are a number of activities to join with where you would support people and gave them a chance to relax.
Professionals from the mental health services will be present to offer advice to carers.
Positive attitude.
Friendly empathetic nature.
Knowledge of caring for or working with a person with dementia useful.
