Ridgegate Home
Ridgegate Home was established as a Registered Charity in 1946. It is a private, non-profit making residence for older people who, for various reasons, are unable to maintain a home of their own. Ridgegate is a large, detached period building, which accommodates twenty-three residents. The home is administered by a Board of Governors, who have an active role in the running of the home.
Our aim is to offer people in later life the opportunity to live in comfortable surroundings, in a relaxed and secure family environment, with the degree of care that is necessary to enhance the quality of life for the individual. We support our residents by offering the core values, which are fundamental to the philosophy of Ridgegate Home, these being: privacy, comfort, dignity, independence, choice and rights.
We currently have opportunities on the Board of Governors for anyone who can bring their knowledge and experience to bear when required.
The ideal candidates should have good leadership skills, organisational skills, people management skills and negotiation skills. A background in marketing, fundraising or legal would be most welcome. Previous board or trustee experience is not necessary and we welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds.
