The Epsom and Ewell Climate Action Network (eeCAN) develops and delivers projects to help our communities become more resilient to the effects of Climate Change.

Role Overview

We are looking for a volunteer admin coordinator/support for our Library of Things at Bourne Hall.

We have a growing library of about 40 items donated by the community and available for borrowing. Items are kept in the store at Bourne Hall and need regular care to keep them in good working order.

We're looking for someone who is IT literate and is able to bring your own laptop with you to help keep our record system up to date and accurate.

We use myTurn, an online lending platform to record membership, inventory, borrowing, return and item maintenance.

Ideally you would be able to support the team on a weekly basis.

We currently meet Thursday mornings 1030-1230 at Bourne Hall (Wellbeing centre near the car park exit).

Responsibilities

  • Keeping the inventory system up to date by logging and tracking item maintenance
  • Help the team with reviewing items for damage, usually after return from the borrower
  • Availability to work with our team during weekdays is ideal

What skills do I need?

Skills & Experience (Desirable but Not Essential)

No formal qualifications are required, but the following skills would be helpful:

· Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

· Enthusiasm for sustainability and community sharing initiatives.

Availability Details

Time Commitment & Support · This is a flexible volunteer role, and we appreciate any time you can give. · Ideally, we are looking for someone who can commit about 2–3 hours a week on Thursdays. · Our Climate Action Network Team will provide full support and guidance—you’ll be joining a welcoming and collaborative team who will support you and who want to make a difference in their local community.
