Epsom and Ewell's Climate Action Network (CSVA)
About our Epsom and Ewell Climate Action Network eeCAN
eeCAN develops and delivers local projects that support nature, encourage climate-friendly living, and helps our community take practical steps to reduce climate impact. We work with residents, volunteers, and partner organisations to protect and enhance our local environment.
Our Epsom and Ewell Climate Action Network (www/eeCAN.org) is beginning to become very well known and its projects are expanding. We currently wish to find two more trustees to further diversify our board so that we jointly make decisions that will enable our charity to be established on a firm footing and to continue to achieve its objective "to provide local services that save people money while making their local communities more resilient to the effects of climate change today and in then future".
We would especially welcome applicants who are passionate about the value of volunteering and who wants to develop creative ways of recruiting more volunteers using all the channels of communication available.
We are also interested in a trustee who takes a real and pro-active interest in how volunteers are getting on in their new role and if their personal aims are being met. One of the main reasons that volunteers do not stay in a role is that they don’t have enough interesting work within their capabilities and this trustee role would ensure this is not the case. They will help us inspire and retain our growing number of volunteers.
As a Trustee of our Epsom and Ewell Climate Action Network you will help us ensure the effective governance of our Charity.
You will work with our Trustee team to provide; strategic direction to support the volunteer team to achieve our mission.
This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to a growing movement for sustainable living while strengthening community ties.
You will work with the other trustees to submit our application to the Charity Commission in January 2026
Help our board promote inclusivity, accessibility, and engagement within the local community.
