Epsom and Ewell's Climate Action Network (CSVA)
Organisation: The Epsom and Ewell Climate Action Network develops and delivers projects to help our communities become more resilient to the effects of Climate Change
We already have some project ideas (see below) but the first one we think you might enjoy and succeed at is to introduce yourself to all the walking cycling and rail groups/organisations currently operating in the area and tell them about our Epsom and Ewell Climate Action objectives and find out from them how we might encourage and promote our local residents to want to/be able to travel more sustainably. From this community engagement you will recommend to our charity Core Group what project you think will have the most impact and we will agree a plan together to make this happen including ensuring you have a group of enthusiastic volunteers to help you deliver,
Location: Epsom & Ewell and adjacent areas
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours per week, flexible
Start Date: Flexible- Will depend on which projects you want to start.

Our Current Project Ideas
1 More safer cycling routes/stands – in partnership with the cycle forum and Cycling England?
2.Promote the safe use and maintenance of electric cars bikes and scooters?
3 Promote more use of Public transport especially for those without car transport?
4 Start a bike recycling and repair scheme?
What You’ll Do:
• Work with other volunteers passionate about encouraging people to travel more sustainably
• Together you will choose the project that you feel will inspire our residents to travel more sustainably
• Liaise with other Climate Action Network Volunteer leads where your project may offer synergy eg Healthy and Active travel Lead Volunteer
What You’ll Get:
• A chance to shape and deliver projects that promote more sustainable travel
• Support from our Climate Action Networks members and volunteers
• Enjoyment working collaboratively in a friendly team who will work with you to recruit the volunteers you need
Is This You?
If you are passionate about more sustainable travel and can find creative ways to do this then this is the role for you.
Experience of the transport industry of for a Local Highway Authority might be useful asset for some projects.
You need no formal qualifications just have a passion for traveling more sustainably and able to work with others.

Time Commitment & Support · This is a flexible volunteer role, and we appreciate any time you can give. · Ideally, we are looking for someone who can commit 1-2 hours per week. · We will provide support and guidance · Our Climate Action Network Team will provide full support and guidance—you’ll be joining a welcoming and collaborative team who want to make a difference in their local community
