The Beaver colony is the youngest section at Ajax and we currently have around 24 young people in our section.

We meet once a week during term time and deliver an exciting and dynamic programme.

We are looking for people to join our team to help us continue supporting young people in our local area.

Although part of the wider Sea Scout group, our Beavers are primarily based on land. We try and take them out on the river a few times during the summer term. For the rest of the time we help them have fun whilst learning and developing skills for life.

What skills do I need?

To help us deliver our programme we are looking for people with a range of skills.

Perhaps you're good at communicating and working with younger people (8 to 10 year olds) or else you have an active imagination to help us introduce new games and activities to the section.

All out meetings are planned in advance and being an extra pair of hands to supervise a game or craft is also helpful.

Let us know what you think you might be able to bring and we can see if there's a role that matches.
