Runnymede Open Award Centre
Egham Open Award Centre supports young people looking to complete their DofE awards. They pride themselves on making the awards as affordable and accessible as possible and have been supporting young people across the borough for many years. With demand increasing, they are looking for new volunteers who can help to prepare candidates for their expedition, teaching practical skills such as navigation and camping skills. Volunteers are also welcome to help oversee practice and assessed expeditions (typically in early October and Easter). The group meets on Mondays on Egham Hill from 4.30 to 5.30. If you have camping experience and relevant skills and an interest in helping young people develop self-confidence and a sense of adventure, this could be a great role for you.
