Our warehouse is the hub of the charity!

This is where all of the surplus food and donations are delivered ready to be sorted and then packed for distribution.

This role involves:

  • Picking stock and labelling orders for deliveries.
  • Occasionally going on the van with the driver on a delivery. Sorting food and restocking shelves.
  • Loading and unloading the van/deliveries.
  • Heavy lifting (no more than 10KGs).
  • Recording van temperatures and taking signatures on deliveries.
  • Providing a high level of customer service to our member organisations.
  • Representing FareShare Sussex and Surrey out in the community.

What skills do I need?

  • Punctuality and good time-keeping skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team work.
  • An understanding of Food Hygiene and Safety (not essential, we’ll offer training)

Availability Details

A commitment of one shift per week for a minimum of three months. Each shift is approximately 4 hours. Will come with safety wear, training and an induction.
