This is an informal voluntary role for those who currently volunteer or live in Merstham. You can positively support the health and wellbeing of your community by promoting positive health information and opportunities within the places you live, work and spend your leisure time. Health and Wellbeing Champion Training can also be used to compliment other voluntary roles and employment.  

Examples of activities may include:

  • Learning about local health initiatives
  • Signposting to relevant local health and wellbeing services
  • Developing your knowledge as a Health and Wellbeing Champion by attending learning workshops
  • Getting involved in health and wellbeing activities in your setting
  • Providing information and encouraging others to participate in health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Championing and promoting relevant health campaigns
  • Role modelling and promoting Health and wellbeing in your setting
  • Collaborative working with other champions.
