This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced fund-raiser to support the incredible and game-changing dance work of the Tailfeatherdance dancers!

The dancers need help in order to develop as artists, create dance work and continue their work to raise awareness, promote inclusivity, celebrate diversity and widen participation.

Tailfeather is looking for a fundraiser who is a passionate advocate for vulnerable adults and who wishes to support the life chances of others, as well as their aspirations in the arts.

It would suit an experienced fund-raiser with understanding of the grant application process in our current climate, and who has worked in the charity or arts sector.

With funding, the dancers will be able to continue to meet weekly and have the individual support that they need to grow and share their dance work further.

This ongoing role does not require travel or commitment to specific days/times but it does require someone who has the aspirations of the dance artists at heart and who wishes to support their career in dance and the arts.

What skills do I need?

  • Approaching businesses, local authorities, trusts and individuals to secure funding.
  • Writing funding bids / grant applications.
  • Controlling budgets and working to targets.
  • Organising and helping with fundraising activities such as sponsored or promotional events.
  • Planning donation campaigns and events.
  • Coming up with new ways to acquire funding – through events, online advertising.
