Could you be a great communicator? You can learn Inclusive Communication skills (e.g. Makaton signing / Talking Mats) and support an inclusive choir for people with and without communication or learning difficulties.

Help Include provide an inclusive environment, opportunities to learn skills and build friendships, while enjoying a good sing song.

We encourage people with or without communication difficulties to join us, promoting awareness, and teaching skills in the community. We also deliver training to organisations on how to better support the people we engage with.

No musical experience necessary, just enjoyment of music and fun!

Include are dedicated to improving lives and that is not just for our service users but for our volunteers too!

You will have access to training and support and the option of attending FREE Makaton training (values around £85), a valuable resource to build your own skills and a more inclusive community.

We would love volunteers to help with the following:

-Welcome new choir members

-Help create and organise resources

- Support with tech

- Support our choir reps and volunteers with additional needs

- Video parts of the session and / or edit videos

-Set up and serve refreshments

-Help set up and tidy away

The roles with the choir are varied and can be tailored to your particular interests and experience.

The Include Choir meets every Tuesday at 6pm until 7.30pm at St Joseph’s Church, St Margaret Drive, Epsom KT18 7JQ. Volunteers are requested to attend from 5.45pm until 7.45pm whenever possible.
