Sunday afternoon kitchen volunteer - 4.30pm - 6pm - Guildford

We are looking for volunteers to help us in the kitchen on the odd Sunday.

We work on a rota system and volunteers are usually on once a month.

We serve a pre-prepared hot meal to 10-15 guests between 4.30pm and 6pm on Sunday evenings at Beverley Hall in Guildford (which is next door to the big Waitrose).

We set up the hall, get the meal ready to serve, make a few sandwiches, get a big pot of tea/coffee on and then serve the meal.

We then clear down at the end and pack everything away, ready to close at 6pm and to leave by about 6.15pm.

We have a very friendly and mixed team of volunteers.

Our guests are rough sleepers and those in hostels in Guildford town centre.

They are usually very pleasant but it should be noted that they are vulnerable and sometimes have issues with alcohol, drugs, etc.

Anyone interested must be over 18 please.

What skills do I need?

No skills really needed, just need to be a team player!
