Elmbridge Home Support (CSVA)
Home Support Elmbridge was established as a charity in 1989, is based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey and for over 30 years has been providing practical help and support to people in the Borough of Elmbridge and surrounding areas, who due to age, sickness or disability may need additional support at home. Due to the pandemic and changing roles the Charity is now in need of new Trustees to supplement the current Board of Trustees.
What the Charity does:
• arranges a variety of services to help people over the age of 18who, because of age, sickness, or disability, cannot easily make such arrangements for themselves
• when a client is first referred, a home visit is arranged with one of their coordinators to assess clients’ needs and discuss the services they provide.
• recruits and allocates self-employed helpers ensuring they have been fully vetted (including Police Checks DBS - disclosure and barring service) for working with vulnerable people.
Services include:
Domestic & Household Services Visiting Service for Carers
Bathing Service
Gardening Service
Shopping Service
Accompanied shopping
Laundry Service can be discussed
Applicants from a variety of business/professional backgrounds considered. people and communication skills important.
Trustees should show an understanding and commitment to the aims and objectives of our charity
