Surrey Remap (RB)
We are looking for people with good DIY skills and a home workshop to join our small panel of similar individuals. We design and make custom equipment for the disabled, often working with a professional such as Occupational Therapists.
"It is great to be able to use our engineering skills to make something unique like this; it makes a really big difference to someone’s quality of life." Richard, Remap Volunteer
Volunteers need to have imaginative and problem solving minds plus the DIY skills to put ideas into practice. A home workshop or space to work on projects is necessary.
Many ReMap volunteers are from an engineering background, but they also need electronics and computing experts, people skilled with wood, those with a passion for model engineering. In fact anyone with a talent for making things!

Our panel members usually have one or more jobs current and put in whatever time they are able to. We meet every couple of months for formal discussions on cases and other technical issues. We also have social gatherings at a pub in Surrey usually scheduled some time between those formal meetings. Surrey Remap volunteers carry on their duties as they are needed. There are no time limits or set working hours.
