Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell is a well respected local charity providing free, confidential advice to everyone living, working and studying in the boorough.

As a small charity we rely on our amazing volunteers not only to provide our advice services but also to provide the essential support services that enables this service to function.

This volunteer role is within our busy Publicity and Fundraising team which works hard to promote the services that CAEE offers to the local community. As this work expands, we are recruiting a communications/admin volunteer to support the team’s work.

Working with our Publicity & Fundraising Manager, you will:

- manage meetings, including arranging meetings, attending to take minutes, circulating papers and monitoring follow up actions; - help organise events; - ensure publicity materials (leaflets, flyers, posters) are kept up to date and accessible for the wider CAEE team and our clients; - distribute publicity materials around the local area; - help keep our internal publicity and fundraising records up to date; - assist in maintaining our contacts database; - keep our events calendar up to date; - generally support the publicity team to ensure CAEE publicity activities are well organised.

You may occasionally be asked to support the admin work of the wider CAEE office

What skills do I need?

You do not need specific qualifications for this role but you will need to:

- have good writing, editing and proofreading skills - have good speaking skills - be friendly and approachable - be well organised and able to keep information confidential - be non-judgmental and respect views, values and cultures that are different to your own - have good IT skills ideally including use of social media - be willing to learn about and follow the Citizens Advice aims, principles and policies, including confidentiality and data protection - be willing to undertake training in your role.

Experience using platforms such as canva, mailchimp and surveymonkey would be useful but not essential as training can be provided
