CHEER (CSVA)
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to drive our clients to and from our social events in Elmbridge. These events are for older people who would otherwise be isolated and lonely. Assistance at some events may also be appreciated.
We aim to run at least one event a month and volunteers can choose how often they get involved.
You must be an experienced and careful driver with your own a car and a clean driving licence. You also need the ability to empathise with older people and have good listening skills. We pay 45p per mile expenses to volunteers who live in the Elmbridge area.
