Volunteer Games Player

Hilary’s Hut is a free over 45’s social meet up group to combat loneliness in the community and provide an information and friendship hub. 

We meet the third Wednesday of every month at Christ Church Hall, opposite Matthew Arnold School in Staines 2-4pm. 

We are looking for volunteer Games Player to support the games lead by hosting a 'Games Table' to enable members to join in a game they not be able to play alone. To support members to grow friendship and socialise.

What skills do I need?

We are looking for someone with an outgoing, friendly, bubbly, and welcoming personality. Who enjoys meeting and including all people with a patient and supportive nature. To have a game set up when people arrive and to encourage members to play the game with you and teach beginners if required. 

With the consent of Members we can help volunteers to post about your ‘Game’ on our Facebook page, to encourage and support members join in. 

Along with the games lead to research what games members might like to play/learn about and bring feedback to the Volunteer Meetings. 

Examples of games: Chess, Bridge, Rummikub, Scrabble, Cards, Dominos. Any game that encourages members to engage together. 

Freedom to develop this ‘Corner’ to make it your own.
