Hilary’s Hut is a free over 45’s social meet up group to combat loneliness in the community and provide an information and friendship hub.
We meet the third Wednesday of every month at Christ Church Hall, opposite Matthew Arnold School in Staines 2-4pm.
We are looking for volunteers to lead on the jigsaw corner, which involves welcoming people as they arrive, encouraging them to join the activity and conversing with them whilst helping to complete a jigsaw.
With the consent of the members, we can help you post about your jigsaw corner on our Facebook page to encourage and support members to join.
Research what jigsaws people might like to work on, for example the number of pieces over a few months and share this information at volunteer meetings.
There is freedom to develop your area.
We are looking for someone with an outgoing, friendly, bubbly, and welcoming personality, who enjoys meeting and including people in activities. Someone who is a jigsaw lover, inclusive, patient and supportive nature.
The Jigsaw Lead will have a jigsaw set up when people arrive and encourage members to join. Support for beginners as required.
