Our daytime Drop-In is open to any adult. It particularly attracts lonely, homeless or unemployed people struggling with a range of issues. They all need a friendly face and a listening ear. It provides them with a non-judgmental environment and a community in which they can be themselves. This role will be supported by a Drop-In Leader.

During the week our Drop-In opens 11am to 3pm. The shift starts at 10:45am and has a team of three people: A Drop-In Leader, Kitchen Supervisor, Kitchen Assistant and General Assistants. The Kitchen Assistant helping to serve meals, to prepare food and general kitchen duties. The General Assistant helps serve drinks and snacks, chatting with the guests and joining in with activities or games.

The Drop-In Leader manages the session and while the Drop-In Assistants helps out with any necessary tasks, including making drinks and carrying out enhanced Covid-19 cleaning of tables, toilets and high traffic areas.

All volunteers come together at the end to clean the surfaces down ready for the following day as well as preparing lunch.
