Overview: The Adults Programme Champion plays a crucial role in developing, coordinating, and supervising programs and activities tailored to the needs and interests of adults within the community.
This position focuses on creating a supportive and enriching environment where adults can engage, learn, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Programme Development: Collaborate with local organisations, educators, and community members to design and implement a comprehensive Adults Programme that addresses the diverse needs of the community.
Produce an annual strategic plan outlining key objectives, initiatives, and resource requirements for the Adults Programme.
Identify and prioritise initiatives that promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of adults.
Develop a funding strategy for various activities within the Programme and ensure expenditures remain within the allocated budget.
Engagement and Activities: Organise engaging workshops, seminars, and clubs that cater to the interests and preferences of adult members.
Foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie among participants through community-building activities and events.
Create opportunities for personal and professional development, including skill-building workshops, career counselling sessions, and networking events.
Cultural and Recreational Activities: Plan cultural events, recreational outings, and social gatherings to promote cultural exchange and recreational enjoyment.
Offer opportunities for creative expression, hobby exploration, and leisure activities.
Organise health and wellness programmes, including fitness classes, mindfulness sessions, and nutrition workshops.
Mentorship and Leadership: Establish mentorship programmes that connect adults with experienced professionals and mentors in their fields of interest.
Empower adults to take on leadership roles within the community and initiate projects or initiatives that align with their passions and goals.
Encourage participation in community projects and volunteer opportunities that contribute to the community.
Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of Adults Programme activities and initiatives, collecting feedback and data to measure impact and inform future planning.
Prepare regular reports on programme outcomes, participation rates, and key performance indicators.
Passion for working with adults and supporting their personal and professional growth.
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of adult education principles and best practices in programme development.
Creativity and resourcefulness in designing engaging and meaningful activities for adult learners.

The Adults Programme Champion position is typically flexible, with hours varying based on programme activities and community needs. Attendance at occasional evening or weekend meetings and events may be required.
